Where Can I Buy Boots For Big Calves

Why in the world won't the plus size stores sell GENUINE leather boots????!!! Their boots fit me great, but I have to replace them almost every year because pleather doesn't last. I would rather pay more for a pair of leather boots thay will last, but I can't find any anywhere that will fit my 18" calves. Any ideas? And when I say I would pay more, I don't mean I'm willing to sell my kidney. LOL

where can i buy boots for big calves

Looking for cowgirl boots and none of these sites seem to carry them. Any suggestions would be great. Need an extremely wide boot, never found anything higher than ankle boots that fit but now I am in a wedding and the Bride wants tall cowgirl boots...

@Laura, I'm sure I'm too late, but Laredo makes several wide pairs of actual cowboy (ladies) boots that are wide as hell in their normal width and then offer a wider version as well. My calves are 19 inches, and my foot is wide, but not super wide and I very comfortably wear the Med width. They're real leather, very comfortable, and I have an everyday pair and I bought a pair for my own wedding.

While I call them mid-height, technically they are the Ugg Short boot. Not the ankle height, which Ugg calls a Mini. But the boots that I have come up just over the bottom of your calf. The shaft is eight inches high.

Shopping for wide-fit and wide-calf boots isn't always the easiest. Sometimes, you'll spot an amazing pair of knee-high boots but know, without even having to try them on, that they won't fit over your calves. Other times, you'll get as far as finding the perfect black ankle boots, only to slip them on and realise they're too small width-wise and walking in them would be an issue.

We've put together the ultimate guide to wide-calf and wide-fit women's boots to make finding your new pair that bit easier. And trust us, these babies actually look good. We're talking cute heeled ankle boot options, stylish flats, cowboy boots and cool chunky lace-ups, to name but a few.

John Lewis + Erica Davies' wider calf collection has long been our go-to for gorgeous boots that accommodate a variety of calf sizes. The crowd favourite from the first collection has been given a chunkier look, and we're loving it.

Suppose you're thinking of treating yourself to some Chelsea boots but have yet to be able to justify it. Allow us. They're a timeless wardrobe staple, so you can bet they'll be wearable for many a year to come.

If you were eyeing out those cream-heeled boots and wondering if you could overlook your dislike of heels, we're here to tell you you don't have to. These flats are in a gorg ecru colour and will keep your feet firmly on the ground.

I love the jeans you have on with the booties in the pictures. I can never find jeans that look decent on me . Would you please tell me the brand you have on and where you bought them? Thank you so much !!

I am a short curvy girl and what I saw as the most flattering were the boots in a nude color. Like wearing shoes with a dress, the nude colored shoes elongate your legs too. Personally I prefer knee high boots with a hem that goes over the top or same color tights underneath.

The visual examples below show boots in varying height on my muscular calf. These were all taken with my iPhone 11 set to 1x zoom and placed at about knee height, giving the illusion that my leg is slightly slimmer than it is. I have turned my left leg out slightly to show the boots from the side. Where your boot hits on the back and side of your calf is equally as important as it is from the front. You can see this a bit further down in the post as well.

In my opinion, these tan boots (above) from last season are the perfect height for me from the front and the side. They stop at the knee cap which is the narrowest place on my leg besides my ankle. ?

And since most of us curvy girls have large thighs finding a pair of over-the-knee boots that leave a little wiggle room in the thigh for comfort and to avoid the dreaded muffin thigh bulge above the boot.

I always end this type of post by reminding you that style is individual to YOU. If you have wide calves and you like accentuating that feature by wearing mid-calf boots, by all means, go for it!

You may not be able to change the muscular legs or heavy ankles mother nature gave you, but you can make them a lot less noticeable. Here are 10 Dressing Tips to magically slim, heavy calves and thick ankles.

Also, the wider your legs, the sturdier your heel should be. A thick, chunky heel balances out heavy legs. A sturdy wedge or platform shoe works well. Avoid skinny stilettos, spike, or tiny kitten heels, which create too much contrast and exaggerate large calves.

Any strap around your ankles or ties lacing up your calves (i.e., tie-up espadrilles) draws attention to these trouble spots making your legs and ankles look extra large. The best shoes are open at the ankles. A slingback shoe that wraps at the back of the ankle instead of in front is fine too.

I am new to this site but love what I have read so far. Would it be helpful to start a group where we can share what has worked and not worked for us? It could include beneficial hints, sales, and a place to ask others with this problem any questions, thoughts, or supportive ideas. What do you think?

Hi Kim, a sturdy shoe with a chunkier heel rather than a fine heel balances things out. Also, a low vamp will lengthen the leg, as will a nude shoe. Booties are tricky because they cut you off at the widest point. If you are going to wear booties wear ones the same color as your pants-so black booties, and black pants to lengthen your legs. If you wear black booties with a dress wear a black opaque stockings to create a long, lean line. Tall boots are your friends. I will look around for some photos to post to show you what I mean. Thanks for the great suggestion!

Found this site. Any chance if more photos? I am a visual person. I am looking for comfort while having a little style. I have always had a complex about my calves and ankles. My mom unkindly pointed them out to me as a teen, and I never forgot that. I am a preschool teacher that wants some suggestions besides running shoes.

There are attractive, intelligent men who LOVE women with thick muscular, calves a lot more than stick- legged waifs. The chick in the skirt at the top if this article is one HOT lady. Thick is SEXY!!!

I have small feet but chunky calves and could never get boots to fit over them. However, I found a fantastic bootmaker/shoe repairer who stretches out the calf area on some machine, and voila they now fit perfectly.

Any leather repair or shoe repair shop worth their salt can stretch leather shoes/boots for you. My daughter rides and has muscular calf so riding boots are always tough when they are new. We just take them in and have them stretched. Depending on the leather and how good the shop is, you can get as much as 3/4 of an inch or so extra room.

Our wide fit boots are built with stretchy Muck Boot neoprene that adjusts to the unique contours of your calves. Iconic styles feature adjustable, waterproof gussets for the perfect fit around wider calves and mid-height boots with a lower cut.

I wasn't sure what to expect with these boots. Being a short stocky guy with large calves, the wide calf is a great fit! Lightweight and waterproof, but be sure to get some lightweight merino wool socks because your feet are going to be toasty!!

For winter boots, I typically order at least 1/2 size up from my normal shoe size, depending on how reviews say the shoe fits. This allows me to have extra space for thick socks and a bit of added comfort too.

When you have wide calves, opting for ankle boots instead of knee-high will significantly increase the number of options available to you. Fortunately, there are a lot of great ankle boots on the market that will work beautifully for your wider calves.

Available in two colors, black and pinecone/black, and in four different widths (M, W, X, and XX), these boots are a great find. These duck boots are both insulated and waterproof, making them great for rainy or snowy days. Reviewers say to size up.

If you have both wide feet and wide calves, the selection from Woman Within might be your best bet! As a plus size retailer, Woman Within offers a variety of styles (of both clothing and shoes) that work for larger bodies.

These wide calf knee high boots come in black, cognac, off white and red. It comes in sizes 6-12. They are square toed and have a 3 inch block heel. These boots zip the entire length of the boot. Like most Journee boots, they come in wide and extra wide calf options. I am wearing the wide calf boots here.

The Journee Therese boot is a little snug on my foot, but it fits and I can walk around without pain. It fits easily over my calves and goes up just under my knee. My only concern with this boot is that the material is a little flimsy and bunches up around my ankles. The boots come in sizes 6-12, and you can choose between green or off white.

Close, but a no go for me. These boots get stuck right under the scar on my knee (reference the measurements and photo). The foot itself is wide, but the calf definitely runs a little smaller. Wide foot and wide calf boots are proving to be tricky to find.

These almond toe boots are available in sizes 6-12, wide and extra wide. They come in bone, black and nude. The block heel is 2.5 inches and is a pull on style boot. These boots zip the entire length of the boot.

I got these for my 8yr son who has such wide ankles and feet no other rain boot could go on his foot. He wants to wear these everywhere, school, church etc. The added bonus is they are his favorite color, green not bright green but still green. It's a whole new life for him!

I must own four pairs of rain boots that I can't wear because they are so narrow. I saw that Jileon boots had a 'wide' width available and bought them instantly! I adore them! They are ridiculously comfortable and have handled all the California rain with no problems! Can't wait to wear them to Jazzfest (if it rains, which I hope it doesn't, but if it does, I'll be SO ready!)! 041b061a72
