About the Event
Faith filled Christian artists, dance educators and wellness advocates share their personal stories, practical tips and resources for individual worth, self-care and the value of support and community. This event will be encouraging and inspiring for youth and adults, dance teachers, parents and those involved in professional dance and ministry.
Meet the Panelists
Panelist - Chantal’ Ashantè Hill
Ms. Hill began as a gymnast at 6 years old but began her formal ballet training at the “late” age of 18. A path that God purposefully called her to hone. With the grit & grace of God, she persevered towards her purpose which she now calls “Spiritual Ballerina.” Chantal’ was called by God to study ballet, with an assignment to spread the gospel through the gift of dance in & outside the church. She has trained on full scholarship with Dance Theatre of Harlem, Joel Hall Dancers & Center, and Danspiration Center Inc. She has performed with Joel Hall Dancers, Judah International Dance Theatre, Dance Ministry Institute, Elements Contemporary Ballet, Hiplet Ballerinas, Centre du Danse Marais of Paris, France, Dance Theatre of Harlem- Nutcracker, Columbia College Chicago, and Dance Ministries Instruments of Praise, God’s Anointed In Motion, Dance Ministry Institute, and Yielded Vessels Dance Ministry. In 2017, she was awarded Trailblazer of the Year by Dance Ministry Magazine. Among many applicants, Chantal’ was selected by the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre to teach ballet for its Chicagoland area extension program “Ailey Camp Chicago.” Chantal’ invites the world into her life as a Spiritual Ballerina; a ballerina of faith on her award-winning reality show “The Spiritual Ballerina “ on Ultimate Faith Television Network (Roku) as she travels the world balancing the disciplines of ballet & spiritual discipline through life & dance ministry. She has been featured on TV shows, “Praise The Lord'' (Trinity Broadcasting Network), "Bobby Jones Presents" (Impact Network), “Empire" (Ballerina- Ballet scenes)(FOX) & lead ballerina feature in “Fuse” music video of Violinist Damien Escobar & ballerina in “I'm Not Lucky, I'm Loved” video by Gospel Artist Jonathan McReynolds. The Worldwide BrownGirlsdoBallet organization featured her in their 2019 calendar. Dance Mogul Magazine spotlighted the Spiritual Ballerina in their February Issue bringing light to her faith and consecrated lifestyle as a ballerina. Chantal’ passionately mentors young brown ballerinas and ladies in New York City, Chicago & Los Angeles. Her heart of worship and spirit of excellence has led her to many avenues but she knows that this wouldn't be possible without God.
Panelist - Jenae Adams
Certified PT, Sports Performance Specialists, and Ballet Master
Jenae is a passionate PT, women's health coach, ballet trainer and the woner of Project Pointe. She started her journey as a yound ballet dancer who pursued thee professional stage, training with schools and companies across the U.S. After 14 plus years of dance, Jenaee took her love of dance and fitness and combined both passions into a training career. She went on to receive her license as a certified personal trainer, Sports Performance Specialist with a background in applied Kinesiology, and ballet coach in the Cecchetti Method. Her new founded business, Promect Pointe, started as a personalized coaching business for young-professional ballerinas desiring one on one intensive athletic and technique training in the Nashville, TN area. It has bow expanded as a personal training and wellness business advocating health and personalixed coaching for women and dancers of all ages.

Panelist - Alexandra Wilson
Mrs. Wilson’s formal training began in Leawood, Kansas at DanceWorks Conservatory, under the direction of Sharon Romine, Nicole Romine, and Loren Whittaker. Alexandra received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet and Modern from the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she was a scholarship student all four years.
Prior to becoming a Company member for Störling Dance Theater, Alexandra was a Guest Artist for Second Wind Dance Company in Virginia and also had the privilege of working with Jelon Vieira of Dance Brazil. Mrs. Wilson has performed works by George Balanchine, Paul Taylor, Paula Weber, DeeAnna Hiett, Jennifer Medina, Rodni Williams, Sabrina Madison Cannon and Loren Whittaker. Mrs. Wilson has toured Europe twice with Young Tanzsommer, and had her choreography performed there as well. Alexandra’s choreography has been performed by many studios and has won National awards. She has appeared as a dancer in movies, Trust Fund and Three Blind Saints. Alexandra has taught all over Kansas City, including The Culture House, Wynn Twins, Kansas School of Classical Ballet, Above The Barre, Dramatic Truth, Glenda Brown Choreography Project and Störling Dance Theater Intensive. She was named Miss Kansas Drill Team 2002, and was the technique teacher for Blue Springs Color Guard. Alexandra has taught Summer school dance programs for the Blue Springs District and drill team camps for Blue Valley and Shawnee Mission Districts. She is the Advanced Jazz and Modern Instructor and leader/mentor for The Conservatory of Dance Ensemble(Junior company of The Culture House) and Störling’s Conservatory Certificate Program.
Alexandra has been a company member of Störling Dance Theater under the direction of Mona Enna since 2006. Some memorable roles with Störling Dance Theater include: Hannah, the Quaker, Mrs. Walker, and Elise Walker in Underground, Gabriella, the Archangel in Child of Hope, Roxy in Prodigal Daughter, First Wife in Suspended Grace, Kamikaze Mama, Mother and lead City soloist/pas de deux in Butterfly, and soloist in Störling Dance Theater’s collaboration with Spire Ensemble and New Dance Partners.
Alexandra is the proud wife to Jereme Wilson, and mother to her three children, Alaina, Victoria, and Julian. Many thanks to her family for their love and support. She is extremely thankful to God for the opportunity to share her God-given talents and passion for dance with audiences and students on a daily basis. It is truly a blessing.
Host - Cynthia Newland
Cynthia Newland holds a B.F.A. from George Mason University and an M.F.A. from Arizona State University.
Through her thirty plus year career, she’s traveled throughout the U.S.A. and over twenty-five countries working with numerous arts, education and mission driven organizations with the aim to serve, inspire and connect people to their calling and purpose.
As an educator, she is the recipient of higher education awards, and serves on the boards of a variety of arts and education organizations. Her passions as an artist have included providing movement and dance opportunities, applicable for a diverse population including individuals with various abilities.Cynthia Newland is well known for her encouraging, inspiring and inclusive message for all people and all ages, "Live life to the fullest." Through her work as a dancer, professor and choreographer, those who view and participant are motivated to consider the importance and appreciation of our God given life. This message carries over into Cynthia's work as a speaker, workshop leader and consultant as she provides participants with practical ways to obtain information and application into their own lives.
Her recent endeavors include establishing Alible3. Cynthia's love for God and her love and care for people is the basis for all of her teaching. She desires for all people to understand each one of us have significant worth and value, provides informative knowledge on how to take care of our bodies and inspires all to use their own gifts and talents to make positive differences in this world.In her current practice as an artist and educator, Cynthia Newland teaches a variety of workshops and lectures spanning the introductory, intermediate and advanced levels of dance and engaged embodied movement experiences, as well as applicable information related to health and wellness for individuals and groups. Alible3 is the platform by which she shares her passions and knowledge for nourishing the body, soul, and spirit.
From a young age, Cynthia Newland was already on the path to being an inspirational influence to those whom she encounters. Her ceaseless curiosity, dedication to hard work and desire to share knowledge paved the way for an impressive broad background and notable career as an educator, artist and more recently, health and wellness consultant.
